OCTOPUZ Product Update: January 2026 release

The January 2026 OCTOPUZ release delivers improvements to CAD modeling and cell building tools, along with a series of impactful feature updates. By refining core CAD and cell building workflows, this release reduces setup time and helps users move from design to programming more efficiently.

Improved CAD modeling tools

Take full control of your CAD with enhanced modeling capabilities. Easily explode assemblies, combine bodies, and modify colours to prepare cleaner, more usable models. These tools streamline CAD manipulation so you can focus on robot programming.

Create parametric components

Quickly create configurable components including fences, tables, and pedestals. This accelerates cell layout creation and rapid prototyping, and ensures consistent components across all your projects.

More improvements

  • Transform individual motion statements: individual Joint and Linear moves can now be transformed alongside paths and searches.
  • New Transform method for identical bodies: when using Transform, there is a new method called “Bodies” which can transform a path from a given body to every other identical body on the part.
  • Create multiple auto searches: there is a new operation to create auto searches for multiple paths at the same time.
  • Live path preview for search: preview a search’s movement instantly while its being created or modified.
  • Improved error reporting for Solve Collisions: when creating or modifying a path, the solve collisions tool now displays the specific error type and a more detailed message on how to fix certain types of errors.
  • Curves visualized on a created path: created paths now show arcs as curved lines, instead of straight lines.
  • Split paths by points: single large paths can now to split into multiple path segments containing a defined number of points.
  • Export a 2D cell drawing: cells can now be exported as a 2D PDF layout that includes a detailed drawing of the cell and an associated bill of materials.
  • Customize the floor grid size: change the size of the 3D world floor and grid line spacing.
  • More: plenty of other performance and UI/UX improvements, plus a number of bug fixes.
